Kelly brings three decades of specialized training and development experience to her role as owner and founder of FirstStar Consulting Group. Her career spans leadership positions and consulting roles with prominent organizations, including Thomson Reuters, Service Brands International, The Princeton Review, New Horizons, Vanderbilt University, University of Michigan and Michigan Medicine, where she honed her expertise in strategic talent management and organizational development.
As an industry innovator, Kelly's strengths lie in pioneering baseline competency programs, driving change management initiatives and team development, facilitating talent reviews and succession planning, and establishing mentoring programs. As a certified instructor for Crucial Conversations and Influencer programs, she's trained hundreds of professionals in effective communication and change management. Her approach leverages strengths-based methodologies, helping staff leverage their innate talents for professional growth and organizational success.
With a master's degree in human resources and organizational development from Eastern Michigan University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the College of Saint Benedict, Kelly is also a licensed Intercultural Development Inventory administrator and certified Linkage executive coach and member of the American Society for Talent Development.
